My mega wish when I moved here a couple of years ago was a Dutch version of a city that never sleeps. And my metropolitan desire appeared to be true: even on Monday mornings there’s still some smudgy parties going on, and I can get my cigarettes any time I want to. It’s nice that our capital doesn’t need her bed, but I do need some horizontal hours every now and then. Finding a little rest in this struggle for survival we call city life can be quite hard sometimes (or is that just me?). This contradiction is the theme of the first 2013 edition of the talent laboratory of FOAM.
EGOSPHERE
Instead of taking a vacation or joining a mindfulness course, the young talents of FOAM Lab believe there are other roads to that internal peace. This Thursday they’ll serve you a nice mix and mingle of art that’ll hopefully bring you a little closer to some inner chi. Ask some critical questions to the duo behind the collective Exactitudes, who outshine in categorizing people. Or listen to stories by the young writer Olga Kortz, or poems from price-winning Kira Wuck. Too much to sum up, and of course some drinks. So when you’re done with woolly therapies done by non-monks, take a rest and be blessed in this creative forest called EGOSPHERE.
