Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: Hifi @ Trouw

Hifi is the indie-house night at Trouw hosted by Nuno Dos Santos and Patrice Baumel. A Place for amazing music as they call it. This Friday they’ve invited upcoming hero Daniel Avery. He is known to clubbers around the world for his residency behind the decks at London institution Fabric and weekends spent in numerous other clubs in Europe and beyond. His craft as a producer is setting him apart and is the main reason he is a rising star though. Big chance you haven’t heard about this guy yet, but after Friday, you’ll never forget about him again.

Saturday: LET with Voices From The Lake, Different World & Delta Funktionen @ Amsterdam Studio’s

For their sixth iteration LET will make sure to blow your socks off with another top notch line up. They call it a specific approach and vision on house & techno, spread over two areas + a sweet chill area. Who are we talking about? A studio full of house featuring Different World (Claude Young + Takasi Nakajima), Delta Funktionen and Elias Mazian, and a studio full of techno featuring Voices from the Lake (Donatto Dozzy & Neel), Iori, Mirella Kroes and resident to the show Jean Pierre Enfant. Take a high-end sound system, a raw warehouse and an extended curfew ’til 7am and the full-party-package is yours.

Saturday: Morgenavond: ME.N.U @ Sugar Factory

Finally, another morgen-family day for all of us to come together, celebrate music and support charity a bit. This time around it’s all about ME.N.U.. Together with this guy morgen.am is putting together a warm, crazy and housy night with some sweet surprises. This event is actually the official release party of their next morgen.ep by ME.N.U. with a killer piano track featuring the gifted Bryce and a remix from Satori. I heard they’ll be presenting this with a one time only special performance. House experts Pete Bandit & Jason Shae, music expert Satori, local hero Francesco Robustelli and the all-time handsome duo Maya J & No Reset will all be present to support the cause. Support your local scene Amsterdam. And enjoy the hangover.
