Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: H.O.S.H. @ Chicago Social Club

There are solid record labels and then there are recognisable musical collectives. Brotherhoods who work together for the furtherment of electronic music. One such crew is proudly based in Hamburg, goes by the name of Diynamic and owes a large part of its success to German born Holger Behn aka H.O.S.H. This Friday he’ll be bringing us a special 3 hour (!!) set at the Chicago Social Club. Support comes from Hellie Berry, With Two and Trutjes hosting the bar!

Saturday: Dekmantel Soundsystem @ MC Theater

They threw their first party in 2007 and never thought they’d make it as far as they’ve done today. This weekend they’re back, not with an all-star line-up like we’re used to nowadays, but all by them themselves. Incase you didn’t know, Dekmantel Soundsystem consists of Casper Tielrooij, Jan van Kampen & Thomas Martojo back-2-back-2-back. They’ll be pulling an all-nighter this Saturday at their home base MC Theater. I’ve gotta say it again, we have something special going on here in Amsterdam. Go support your local rockstars. Lastly, Check out this 6 year old interview.

Sunday: Trouw op Zondag – Michael Mayer 10 Hour Mantasy Set @ Trouw

As a DJ, producer and remixer, Michael Mayer remains one of Germany’s core celebrities in dance music. It’s no secret that he spends his weekends traveling around the globe. Throughout his career he’s played in front of millions. As a co-owner of Kompakt, he spends his weekdays deciding what will be released on the label and working with the label’s artists and overseeing Kompakt’s distribution wing – the home of over 50 record labels. With this said, the man obviously has the industry know-how to fill a 10 hour set. That’s right, this Sunday Michael will be playing for 10 hours at Trouw op Zondag! eE there early if you want to get in, there’s only a few tickets left. See you up front and enjoy the hangover Amsterdam.
