Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: De Nachtdivisie met ADRIATIQUE @ Chicago Social Club

Now that the snow has disappeared, we set our minds towards the spring again, at least I do anyway. All the more reason to get into those vibes with a good old-fashioned house party at your favourite social club. As always at De Nachtdivisie, expect a handful of attractive residents such as Terry Toner and Milan Meyberg. But more importantly, they’ve invited deephouse heroes ADRIATIQUE all the way from Switzerland to the Chicago Social Club!! In area 2 we will be seeing Raaf & Absurd, Kevin Duane and Digital Fashion.

Friday: SOWESO w/ KiNK LIVE @ Studio 80

KiNK, one of my absolute heroes! Seriously, both musically and as a performer in general, haven’t seen that many artists with the amount of energy KiNK brings to the dancefloor. He can best be described as a house, techno, broken beat, experimental producer and dj, from Sofia, Bulgaria. He’ll be back for SOWESO’s next event this Friday at the Studio 80. Support comes from resident and co-host Lauhaus, Samuel Deep and Jeff Moore.

Friday: Format: Juan Sanchez Invites Pig and Dan, Jewel Kid, South District @ AIR

FORMAT, you know it by now. Every first Friday of the month in AIR it is time for proper techno music. This time around host of the night Juan Sanchez invites none other than Alleanza artists Pig and Dan, Jewel Kid and South District. Now those are all names with the southern spirit in them. And all protagonists of the new-techno scene. If you would like to get introduced to Format, this one might be for you. AIR2 is hosted by Mensch!, D’ Lectronique, J Smyls and Goldlock.

Saturday: Nachtdigital Loves Pampa @ Trouw

A question that tends to get asked here and there on club nights is “what festivals are you going to this summer”?. In lots of cases the answer is Nachtdigital, nice and intimate, you know. To get an idea of what music to expect at this festival, go to Trouw this Saturday and listen to Robag Wruhme and Nachtdigital host Steffen Bennemann. Personally, these guys play exactly the kind of music I like to hear when I go out. Go support these Germans. And enjoy the hangover afterwards.
