Rozemarijn, pleased to meet you. Interested as I am in very many things - cities, musicians' biographies and early morning swims to name but a few - in the end I like to stick to the basics: music, food and the image. Suffering from limitless energy and curiosity, I'm always up for something.

All of you photography aficionados, please pay attention. This weekend’s programme is sure to let you have your share of photography, with the final project by this year’s Foam Lab and two events coming from the GUP crew. Photography magazine and coffee table books? Check. Gallery? Check. Shooting some pictures yourself? Check.

Thursday, November 22nd
We kick off with the launch of the new GUP Magazine, the Celebration Issue. The magazine features the work of photographers Mario Testino, Morad Bouchakour, Julia Peirone, David Hurn and Michael Somoroff among others. You are welcome from 5:30pm onwards to get a hold of a GUP#35 copy, a peek of the GUP Gallery and a Vedett beer.

Friday, November 23rd
To start your weekend, make sure to pay a visit to Foam Lab 2012’s final project: ‘Pics or it didn’t happen‘, a great (wake up) call on our sometimes obsessive manners when it comes to recording and sharing our experiences – thereby letting other people know what a fabulous life you do lead. Expect exclusive food, drinks and DJs in an extraordinary setting, and finish off with the afterparty at Foam Cafe. For more info, see Ciaran’s article on Foam Lab’s work this year.

Saturday, November 24th
Saturday brings us back to the Ferdinand Bol, where GUP Gallery is located. From 1-7pm the gallery hosts a one-day pop-up book fair, at which you can not only buy yourself or someone else an early Sinterklaas gift but also have it signed by the photographer. Coffee table book heaven MENDO from the Berenstraat is also present with a small selection of their impressive collection.
