I'm Iris, don't know where I'm going, but I love to explore. And though the best things in life are free, some killer heels, a pretty dress and good food can sure make me happy. Contact me at iris@overdose.am

I love to wander through vintage markets and browse through online stores for hours and hours. Urgency and convenience are not exactly the first words that pop into my mind when I think about shopping. But if you´re more of an impulsive shopper who loves to see and buy, the brand new Negen Straatjes QRoute app will probably find its way onto your phone.

My favourite shopping area in Amsterdam has made it even easier to spend money, since it’s now possible to spot an item in one of the shop windows and immediately buy it online. All you need to do is scan the QR code hidden somewhere in the window. Great when a store is closed but you’re too busy to come back later, or when you simply want to order immediately! We went to QRoute’s launch party to celebrate the introduction.

We witnessed a very creative product demonstration of of online shopping 2.0. Beautiful boys and girls were strolling down an improvised runway while holding life-sized frames, which made it look like they were standing in shop windows. Needless to say, those all contained QR codes. When the show was over, and the fashionistas were enjoying sushi, macaroons and champagne cocktails, we managed to capture some of the most stylish people present. Enjoy and be inspired!
