Ridz, advertises, produces indie/electronic music, performs throughout the Netherlands but ultimately always ends up at an Amsterdam based ensemble... then he blogs about all these things.

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the gateway to the international electronic music scene. As Europe’s leading electronic music conference and the world’s biggest club festival, it’s the perfect time and place to meet up with international music minds, get introduced to an international audience and connect with new music, new trends and new people.

This year’s Amsterdam Dance Event runs from Wednesday the 17th till Sunday the 21st of October. If you’re in the possession of a fancy all-access wristband, we’ve made a short list for you of the best parties to generate a massive hangover that will last you all week. If you don’t have an all-access ticket, we’ve added some kick-ass alternatives to the sold out events. Here’s our recommendations for Thursday:

Exploited Label Night – Hosted by Next Monday’s Hangover @ Het Sieraad

For this Thursday night Next Monday’s Hangover will team up with Exploited, the groovy and smooth Berlin based house label, to bring you the best of both worlds. Featuring some of the hottest deep house artists out there in the likes of Tensnake, Catz ‘N Dogz, Till von Sein, Adana Twins, Homework and many, many more Exploited and ZeeZout artists.. I say this one has titillating night and hot women written all over it. Plus, the location is basically the sickest one ADE has to offer.

De Nachtdivisie presents Ellum Audio @ Chicago Social Club

For this year’s ADE, the boys and girls of “de Nachtdivisie” have really outdone themselves with a unique collaboration with Ellum Audio. Starring none other than Ellum’s head honcho Maceo Plex, Danny Daze, Oddparents, Eric Volta and a very very special guest somewhere in the same department as the others. As one of the hottest acts at the moment, the fact that Maceo Plex will be playing such an intimate location as the Chicago Social Club automatically turns this party into an memorable one. Still a few tickets remaining!

Keinemusik – From Berlin to Amsterdam – ADE Special @ Amsterdam Studios

Our dear friends of AKA AKA & Thalstroem are headlining at the Keinemusik showcase in the renewed location in eastern Amsterdam called Amsterdam Studios. Yes, this is going to be a typical night out in Berlin. For this one they’re bringing along all their friends from their hometown, including &ME (DE), Adam Port (DE), Rampa (DE), Tigerskin (DE) & David Mayer (DE). Not the least of names. By now you must be wishing you could split up into a million pieces huh?

All Gone Pete Tong @ AIR

Pete Tong is an English DJ who works for BBC Radio 1. He is the host of programmes such as Essential Mix and Essential Selection on the radio service. The phrase “It’s all gone Pete Tong”, where the name is used as rhyming slang for ‘wrong’, was reputedly first coined by Paul Oakenfold in late 1987. Now 20 years later the catch phrase still lives, specifically this Friday night in AIR where he invited Damian Lazarus (UK), Shaun Reeves (US), Ryan Crosson (US), Justin Martin (US), Eats Everything (UK) & Blond:ish (UK) to join him on stage.

Kollektiv & Vieze Meid presents Compost Records ADE Special @ Clun NYX

Finally, alive and kicking, is Amsterdam’s new hot spot Club NYX. Located in the Reguliersdwarsstraat this open-minded club (former Exit) is a melting pot of various people, non-stop culminating in a colourful and embracing atmosphere. According to Kollektiv & Vieze Meid this will be an exuberant night you’ll hardly remember but will definitely fall in love with, as your hosts of the evening make you furrow your brows with extravagonzo acts and surprises. You will not be warned this party is for nightlife pros only, the risk is all yours. Compost Records brought along Robert Owens (GB), Christian Prommer (DE) ft. Kelvin Sholar (US), Nuno Dos Santos (NL), SHOW-B & Thomas Herb (DE) and Michael Reinboth (DE). The sleazy nightlife chick, Vieze Meid, invited SHMLSS, Eindbaas and Django Gitano.
