About the author
Sabrina (who is old as fuck) has more energy than a Duracell bunny, and uses it to dance in the newest clubs, eat too much junk food, play all the videogames, examine apps and shop - even though she has more than enough clothes. Sorry Earth.

You may already have read this article in which I told you about ShortCut. This afternoon at two o’clock sharp, all the contestants met at De Verdieping. Eager to begin, we received a small briefing after which we heard in which team we were. Overdose.am is in ‘Team One’ (with capitals, yes) together with photographer lift-off Sander Dekker and curator Carli van de Kerkhof.

Wanting to begin immediately, we left for Overdose.am HQ. On our way, we realized that before we started, we should get some coffee. So, right now, we’re brainstorming and already came up with some amazing ideas (if I do say so myself.) I’ll try to keep you posted as much as I can, so check back in this post! You can also follow me on Instagram: sabrina_overdose.am.

Update @ 01.10AM: Wow! Ten hours further and it seems like we’ve been busy for two days straight. Today consisted mostly of brainstorming, calling people, calling people and calling more people. This month, I just won’t check my phone bill and take a wild guess it will be around two hundred euro or so.

During the brainstorm we’ve had a couple of ideas we wanted to explore. Some turned out to be impossible, even after hours and hours of searching. But hey, we already did one shoot. It turned out well, and we celebrated with some wine -as you may have seen on Instagram. Carli and I went on to write the text that you will be able to read tomorrow at the exposition, so when you’re reading it: know that there is some hard-core labour in there.

There is a ‘but’ though: we’re not stopping at one shoot. Being the overly competitive people we are, we want to do one more, you know, have some choices. So tomorrow at 10AM sharp, we are meeting again. We will choose which one is the best, and which you will be able to see. For today, I’m calling it quits. I’m already in my bed, dying to go to sleep, so check back tomorrow. Good night everybody!

At one point, my head was closer to a man’s butt than I ever wished it to be

Update @ 6.50PM: At two o’ clock last night, I went to sleep. Or at least, I tried. Do you know those nights where you think: ‘’Ah, I have a solid six hours of heavenly sleep awaiting me,” but then you try to sleep and wake up every fifteen fucking minutes? Well, I’ve just had one of those nights. I kept thinking about the project and at one point I was sure that somebody outside was stealing my bike. I went outside, in the middle of the night, wearing nothing but my jammies. Sleep deprivation is what they call that, I guess.

Remarkably though, this morning I had enough energy to finish what we started. Carli called me five minutes after I woke up. During the call, I got dressed and dragged myself to the supermarket to get some cigarettes and energy drink. We had a quick conference call and agreed on the next step. That was finding a man who was willing to wear some short shorts. I begged people I really didn’t want to beg, just to use their ass.

Luckily, we found a handsome stud that was just what the photographer ordered. Right now I’m typing this from De Verdieping, where we are moments away from wrapping up the final steps, while the other teams are stressing out. Very happy with the results, I hope to see you tonight! And tomorrow, I will show you all the pics of the making of. At one point, my head was closer to a man’s butt than I ever wished it to be. Trust me, you don’t want to miss these shots. But you have to get dressed, see you in a jiffy!
