About the author
Hi, I'm Sophia, a fiery redhead in the wondrous world of Amsterdam. I find my joy in singing, good food, cocktails, cute hidden places in our city and talking to crazy, inspiring and creative people.

Last week, from Thursday until Sunday, a new theatre festival took place at the terrain of Amsterdam Roest. So, you might be wondering why I would write an article about an event that already took place? Because this weekend it will happen all over again, and I wouldn’t want you to miss it.

For four days, the whole terrain at Amsterdam Roest will be turned into a stage. A stage for the young and talented as well as the more experienced. A stage for one-man shows and big theatre groups. A stage for bizarre monologues and grotesque, dramatic plays. A smile will appear, a tear will fall and confusion will stir your mind. Two tents on the terrain will be changed into little, intimate stages, the shack will be the stage for bigger plays.

Bizarre monologues and grotesque drama

So, if you’re tired of watching television, or not in the mood to go clubbing, go see a play! The programme will last all evening, and there will be something for everybody to like. Of course there will be warm food available and there will be DJs to end the evening so you can dance with your future red carpet arm candy.
