There has been a lot of talk about Magneet Festival lately. And although all my friends kept saying it was the best festival ever, I was still somewhat skeptical. Judging by the name, I feared that it might have something to do with science. But, this Saturday I suddenly felt like doing something courageous, so I jumped on my bike and took a trip to where I thought the world ended. Across the endless Schellingwouderbrug, instead of where I thought would be Limbo, I discovered this little village, where houses are made out of tents and white sand covers the city asphalt.

If you’ve always dreamed of going to Burning Man festival but don’t have enough pennies to get there, then this is the closest to the Black Rock Desert you can get. Take a leap of faith and emerse yourself in a world filled with acrobats, barefoot hula-hooping and backlight paintings. And don’t forget to get cosy in a two-sided swing while you get hypnotized by the sweet smell of incense. Still a little afraid? Take a peek down below for some visual encouragement.
