Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: De Nachtdivisie met Maxxi Soundsystem @ Chicago Social Club

It’s time for another debut at Chicago Social Club’s monthly Nachtdivisie. After a prior appearance by Danny Daze, they got a hold of Brighton’s DJ and producer Maxxi Soundsystem. The man has been making some very cool tunes and edits lately and has released on renown labels like Futureboogie and Hot Waves. A handful of young and attractive residents such as Terry Toner, Hellie Berry, Tim & Ties, Tijn Benedek will also be present to add some heat to the event. Support your local scene!

Saturday: Boefjes invites White Rabbit @ VLLA

This is not your ordinary event. It’s actually much of what you usually look for when you feel like going ape shit in the weekend. Intimacy and Berlin style party hours. That’s right, our friends from Boefjes and White Rabbit will be setting up an unusual event that goes on for 20 hours with lots of acts, surprises and proper DJs in the game. Who are we talking about? Mike Ravelli, La Vondel & ME.N.U (live), Hubertus Schacht (DE), Joshua Jesse (DE), Johanna Mercker, Charles Davos (live), Erin, Bram Fidder, our friends of Nachtritme and many more. Expect free breakfast between 9 and 11 am and a decent BBQ, if the weather is good.

Saturday: New Babylon w/ DJ T. @ Studio 80

Thomas Koch aka DJ T. has been a vital part of electronic music and club culture for over 20 years. Uniquely accomplished in both influence and scope, he has excelled in every one of his incarnations: DJ, label owner, producer, club operator, publisher and journalist. Having recently closed one chapter of his working life – behind the scenes of Get Physical Music management. This Saturday the big man will play at electronica temple Studio 80 for New Babylon and you really should check this guy out if you haven’t before. Support comes from ONNO & Victor Coral, Eerdhuizen & Trish Former Friends.

Sunday: WLC presents Border Community met o.a. James Holden @ Woodstock 69

Border Community is back in town again this weekend! Well actually, right outside of town at our favourite beach hangout. The infamous UK-based independent label releases a variety of heavy electronic music. You might have heard of producers such as James Holden, Nathan Fake, Extrawelt, Kate Wax & Fairmont. For this special edition, they got all the awesome family member together: James Holden, Fairmont LIVE, Nathan Fake LIVE, Kate Wax and Wesley Matsell! By far the best place to spend your Sunday at, especially if the sun shows itself. Enjoy the hangover.
