Sabrina (who is old as fuck) has more energy than a Duracell bunny, and uses it to dance in the newest clubs, eat too much junk food, play all the videogames, examine apps and shop - even though she has more than enough clothes. Sorry Earth.

Lichting is all about new talent. 14 graduates show their collection in hopes to win the G-Star Raw Talent Award. The price includes 10.000 euro and the winner is invited to contribute to the international catwalk presentation by G-Star in Berlin.

While the audience was becoming almost liquid in their seats (they should really work on the air conditioning at AFW) the designers each showed 5 looks. I’d already seen the looks backstage, but to see them on the catwalk is always a bit different. You can really tell how important the music is. My favourite, beyond any doubt, was Ilona Putkaradze. She showed a grey collection with felt shapes and glitter masks. She was inspired by a sculpture by Jacques Lipchitz. Later I talked to someone who said it was ‘the right weight'; she didn’t overdo anything. Exactly what I liked about it. However, she did not win.

Yvonne Kwok, AMFI graduate, took home the price. The collection was nice, inspired by marionettes, well-executed but not for me. I can understand why they chose her though. She elaborated a lot more about her collection to start with and knew much better how to sell it. Plus, it’s a bit more street.

No photos from the show this time, just a black and white backstage report. Enjoy!
