The Fashion Week madness has started once again! This time around Claes Iversen opened Amsterdam Fashion Week, and with an abundance of flowers. He started off a bit somber, with muted colors. The fabric and fit was almost sportswear like. Now, I do have deep rooted love for minimalistic clothing but was happy to see the show evolving. Soon, the grey started to fade into a soft nude color and not long after that, dresses and blouses with lace and flowerprints. But he didn’t stop there: flowers were sewed on skirts and dresses. The models wore bright neon colors on their eyes and their hair was messy-chic.
Dance, Dance, Dance
Now it is already quite late while I’m typing this and during the show I didn’t have time to write it down because I was taking the photos as well but I vaguely remember Lykke Li coming out of the speakers. I might be wrong- if so, I still think he should have chosen Lykke Li. The entire atmosphere during the show was so happy and positive, it would have fit perfectly. And what comes after flowers? Faded flowers you say? Of course not, after flowers come sequins and black. Claes really impressed me with his show tonight. It was feminine, and I think everybody had one piece that they were instantly craving (for me it was the blouse with lace, print and the white collar). Enjoy watching the photos, and put on some Lykke Li while doing it, preferably ‘Dance, Dance, Dance‘!
