About the author
Hi, I'm Sharron (26). Characterized as curious, easily bored and afraid to miss out. So always looking for a new adventure.

The best birthday to celebrate besides your own is without a doubt the Queen’s. A couple of very nice parties will be served to you in honour of Her Majesty. I wonder if she’d like them, but that’s pretty irrelevant. The Queen herself will be celebrating in Rhenen and Veenendaal, but I would highly recommend you to go boozin’ at the following parties in Amsterdam. God bless the Queen!

Qday Strand West

After a booming edition last year, Subway will be throwing another Queen’s Day party at Strand West. Boris Werner, Tom Ruijg and the Subway residents such as Maarten Mittendorf and Bob Nagel are all on the line-up. Next to these guys an international mystery guest will be present once again. Let’s hope the sun will shine and that everybody can dance barefoot in the sand. What’s more to say than that this is going to be a nice one?! Sadly the party is already sold out. So if you’re one of the lucky ones that already has a ticket, enjoy!

Where: Strand West
Time: 12.00-20.00
Ticket: €10 – sold out

Pleinvrees

It seems that every party Pleinvrees touches turns into gold. Because of these golden fingers we’ve got high expectations for their Queen’s Day Marathon, which includes a big daytime bash bang in the middle of downtown. Joris Delacroix, AKA AKA & Thalstroem, Oliver Schories and Arjuna Schiks are just a few names of those who’ll make it happen there. And on top of all there will be free entrance, so you do the math!

Where: Cafe van Zuylen
Time: 12.00-20.00
Ticket: Free

Rotzooii Queensday Outdoor

This year Rotzooii will bring a daytime version of their popular Queen’s Night edition. Mauro Picotto, El Mundo & Satori, Daniel Sanchez and others will guarantee some good music at this waterside party.

Where: Between Gashouder and Westerunie
Time: 12.00-20.00
Ticket: €5

QDAY Festival

After the Amsterdam city council decided that big parties in the city centre were no longer allowed, Valtifest, Apenkooi, GirlsLoveDJs, Backstage and Rekorder put their ideas together for a new big Queen’s Day festival. And with what result! Five different stages with big international DJs will make sure you will still feel your fist pumps after four days. Fake Blood, Green Velvet, Max Cooper, Format:B, Oliver Weiter, Adam Port and so on. I’m pretty sure we can leave the outrageous partying up to Valtifest and Apenkooi as we are all used to. So do I need to say any more?

Where: Olympia area
Time: 12.00-20.00
Ticket: €13,50

Cartel Queensday Outdoor

Another small stage in the middle of the city is presented by Cartel. They will be showing off with Onno, Makcim, David Labeij and many more. If the decision isn’t already hard enough to make after hearing this line-up, they will surely lure you with the fact that there is no entrance fee here either…

Where: Fredrik Henrikplantsoen
Time: 12.00-20.00
Ticket: Free

GZG Meet her at the Docklands

GZG is always a remarkable party. Most of all, in my opinion, because of the die-hard ravers that will show up. So if you are one of them, your choice is easily made. The Man With No Shadow, Joris Voorn, Steve Lawyer, Mike Ravelli and Prunk will be behind the decks to entertain all the ravers!

Where: NDSM Werf
Time: 12.00-20.00
Ticket: €12,50
