Perhaps this spot needs no presentation. It has to be, hands down, one of the most popular joints in Chinatown. However, I can’t help to brag about how happy I feel after I eat there. New King is favourite amongst my friends and it reaches a new high every time I need some comfort in food.

You will most certainly feel like a king once the dishes arrive at your table

Mandarin cuisine originated in Beijing, it used to be known as the imperial cuisine, the food for aristocrats. You will most certainly feel like a king once the dishes arrive at your table. The menu has, of course, been adapted to our western taste. You won’t find cold pig ears in sauce, (ban shuang cui), but you will find some mouthwatering black bean sauce beef, fried rice, soups and noddles. Pork, chicken, seafood and beef are presented in a variety of sauces, from spicy to sour to sweet, and you’ll find plenty of vegetarian options too.

While I can do more talking, I’ll let the photos convince you to hop on your bike and pick up some good food.
