Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Thursday: White Rabbit 5 April @ Club Up

Our friends of White Rabbit are throwing an intimate party at Club Up just before ‘Good Friday’, so all you corporate people can join in on the extravaganza. Expect lots of props, visual craziness and uplifting house music featuring upcoming heroes such as La Vondèl (live), Paul Sebastian & Teenage Luck, Bert Jimmink and resident Robert Ferdinand.

Friday: Muting The Noise @ Trouw

Dixon needs no introduction. If you’re into electronic music and you haven’t seen him play, there is no excuse. He is the big man behind Innervisions and he proved to be one of our generations’ best track selectors. This Friday, you’ll be able to experience his music all night long, as it should be. Pre-sale is sold out, but there will be around 300 tickets sold at the door.

Friday: De Nachtdivisie XL – with Danny Daze @ Chicago Social Club

I recently interviewed the man of the moment ‘Danny Daze’ for this occasion. He told us he’s been looking forward to coming to Amsterdam for about 10 years. With this said, it’s also nice to hear the Chicago Social Club will be open ’till 8 in the morning. Of course, this means lots of hot DJs: Terry Toner, SHMLSS, Ici sans Merci & Quentin van Honk, Boj Tiemans & Julien Simmons, Meneer de Vries, Tim & Ties, Grhythm, Tijn Benedek & Bram Post. See you up front!

Friday: RTFKT Night with Lanny May & Applescal @ OT301

RTFKT.net is a platform for music addicts, dedicated artists and worshippers of pretty pixels. RTFKT consists of a group of enthusiasts collaborating in a non-commercially way to share their love of new unheard music. This Friday they will be showcasing some of their contributing artists. To start with they invited Berlin based Lanny May, who is supported by local heroes such as Applescal, The glitch bastard and Pnoq. If you want to hear what the future is gonna sound like, be sure to check out this event.

Saturday: Life and Death & Optimo Espacio @ Trouw

Probably one of the most successful duos of the past year is Tale of Us. Their productions have been mixed and played by all the important deep house DJs around the world. Their label ‘Life and Death’ will hit the spotlights on Saturday at Trouw, with at set by Tale of Us and resident Job Jobse. De Verdieping will host Optimo Espacio’s Optimo aka JD Twitch & JG Wilkes all night long. We’re becoming extremely spoiled in Amsterdam with artists such as Maya Jane Coles, Dixon, Tale of Us and Danny Daze visiting this weekend. Damn.

Sunday: 24 Hour Party People presents: Watergate 10 Years @ Studio 80

This Easter weekend the yearly 24 Hour Party People Easter edition invites the legendary Watergate club to celebrate their 10 years of existence. For this special occasion they bring along no less than four German headliners: Tiefschwarz, Tobi Neumann, Marco Resmann and Sebastian Wilck. Of course, the usual suspects Boris Werner, Lauhaus, David Labeij & Johanna Mercker will appear behind the decks as well during the morning hours of mayhem. Yes, this is gonna be a loooong weekend Amsterdam. Cheers to that.
