Although Hemelvaartsdag is a holy day for more then one billion Catholics all over the world, in Amsterdam it means an opportunity to party! Because instead of ‘dauwtrappen’ (waking up really early to walk through nature), Bar27 provide us with an ideal setting to kick some sand while dancing at Woodstock. What am I talking about? They moved their Circus Wunderbar into the sun and onto the beach on may 17th.
Wunderbar Cirque du Soleil it is! If you still remember the sold out Wunderbar at the Melkweg last year you know you can expect a big event. For this brand new edition you have to imagine yourself dancing in the sun with a cool spring breeze, accompanied by some phat sexy housegrooves played by one of the most wanted house collaborations of the last few years, Art Department. It’s the second time this hot sensation from the Canadian Crosstown Rebels imprint come to Holland and we’re looking forward to seeing them play at Woodstock.
Besides this marvellous main act, this edition of the Wunderbar has support from DJs who have proven themselves as true acrobats of house and should be seen as top notch artists of the Dutch house scene. When I say Boris Werner, Brent Roozendaal and Tettero at Wunderbar Woodstock, you must agree there’s nothing that stand in the way of a swinging afternoon and a crazy evening.
