About the author
Born and raised in Amsterdam, lives to dance and dances to live on electronic music, has a small vinyl addiction, appreciates a little sarcasm now and then, thinks musicals are annoying and loves those moments where you lose track of time completely.

As some of you might know, I love dancing to (electronic) music and I love looking and talking about art. Trouw/De Verieping and the Stedelijk Museum combined these activities by creating four interactive events. These events dare you to look at contemporary art in a new way. Trouw will be filled with art, multimedia-installations, lectures, interviews, and music that is Trouw-worthy. The first Contemporary Art Club is up next Thursday.

Underground inspired program

The artists that will provide us with art are all inspired by underground movements and subcultures; the relation between club scenes, underground, and contemporary art will be brought to life. Work from Rineke Dijkstra and Mark Leckey amongst others will be showed in the Trouw building. If this isn’t enough for you, the evening will continue with a club program where music will be provided by Tom Trago, Strange Boutique, and that man with the mouchtace, Joost van Bellen. Doesn’t sound bad, right?

Three other events, that sound like a Daft Punk song when you enumerate them, are still in store for us in the next three months: Hear It!, Augment It!, and Duplicate It! Sound art, augmented reality exhibitions, a project by the Editors, a network of young entrepreneurs connected to Trouw/ De Verdieping, and the Blikopeners. This Thursday club and art will meet each other for the first event. Meet you there?!
