Born and raised in Amsterdam, lives to dance and dances to live on electronic music, has a small vinyl addiction, appreciates a little sarcasm now and then, thinks musicals are annoying and loves those moments where you lose track of time completely.

There’s a thin line between art, design, and fashion. Take the obvious example of Alexander McQueen, I honestly don’t know whether to look at his work as fashion or art. SALON/ is an organization and platform that aims to inspire discussion and dialogue about this thin line. They do this by creating various events throughout Amsterdam where you can experience the creative works of big and small artists and designers. By taking these out of their usual contexts, SALON/ produces a dynamic, interactive and social experience with an intimate vibe.

Exhibitions and events

Galleries, museums, hotels and little stores all over Amsterdam participate in winterSALON/ and have exhibitions that show you that fashion is much more than catwalks and stores. Photography museum FOAM, Museum Van Loon and Droog are just a few examples. On top of that, let’s not forget the special events and parties that are also planned. I would definitely visit the Anti-fashion Party in OT301 where DJ Wannabeastar will spin the tables! Full calendar can be found at SALON/.
