5 Days Off, one of Amsterdam’s most progressive and innovative indoor festivals just revealed the first names for their twelfth edition in May of 2012. Amongst them, we’re happy to announce, are Madeon, Gui Boratto, Ben Klock, Jessie Ware, Monolake (live) and The Gaslamp Killer. More names will be revealed at the end of December. Next to a killer musical line-up, 5 Days Off is known for also integrating theatre, film, debate, photography, art and literature into its broad programme.

Facts & History

The festival takes place in and around our city’s playground Leidseplein, at places like Paradiso, Melkweg and de Balie. Last year featured illustrious names such as 2 Many DJ’s, James Blake, Caribou, Matthew Dear, Paul Kalkbrenner and Modeselektor, but also brought the then up and coming Gold Panda, Crystal Fighters and Hudson Mohawke to town.

For all you fast deciders, the organisation has decided to make 100 Early Bird passe-partouts available for a discount price of €66,- instead of the usual €88,-. Keep your eyes open for more, as I’m sure they will deliver again. Be sure to keep your agenda free from the 7th until the 11th of March 2012! I leave you with an interview we made with head-liner Gui Boratto last year.
