Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Thursday: GUNSLINGAZ @ Club Up

Gunslingaz will be a monthly electro/dubstep night at Club Up. Their goal is to put ‘new’ dubstep, electro-dubstep and local talent in the spotlights. For this first edition of the innovative event they brought along Murq, Guerilla Speakerz, Breek and FS Green to shine behind the turntables.

We at Overdose always support new players in our local partyscene and to incentivate you guys to go check this night out we’re giving away 2×2 tickets for this one. Yes, comment on this post on Facebook with your favourite electro, dubstep or mashup song to go party for free.

Friday: Midnight Freaks invites Barem & Marco Resmann @ AIR

Not only are two proper players in the electronica game, Barem and Marco Resmann, invited to freak everybody out at AIR this Friday. Our friend Ferro is celebrating his birthday as well! All the more reason to party like rock stars at one of Amsterdam’s finest clubs. Area 2 will be hosted by Prunk, featuring Mr. Post, Bas Amro and Du Chatinier. With a line-up like this things are bound to turn into an after party; luckily we have a whole weekend ahead of us.

Friday: We Are E w/ Andre Galluzzi @ Studio 80

Frankfurter André Galluzzi is bringing a weekend of the best and dirtiest techno has to offer. This Cocoon-family member is known among techno lovers as a vile and fuzzy techno-animal. The bearded barbarian will build his encapsulating techno trip for three hours after Joey Daniel sets the temperature. Second room will be for Olivier Weiter, Gideon Bouwens and Arjuna Schiks – live.

Saturday: APENKOOI – Bonte Avond @ WesterUnie/Liefde

Lastly, it’s time for a massive Saturday night celebration from our friends at Apenkooi. This ‘Bonte Avond’ basically means you dress up extravagantly like you did at your (high)school camp-outs and practice your dance/performance skills. For the occasion the Westerunie will be filled with house/techhouse beats by UMAMI live (who we recently saw in Berlin and are awesome), Tettero, Beesmunt Soundsystem and Terry Toner, while the Westerliefde hosts eclectic/electro superstars Wurtz, Rubix and DIRTCAPS. Also in the house, SHMLSS:Homecoming DJ Team, MC VI, a photo-booth, miniplaybackshow, hockey chicks and monkeys! Oh yeah, bring your own gym mat, climbing frame or workbench and you get in for free. For real, have a pleasant hangover!
