About the author
The name's Ciaran, a 27-year-old guy who loves the idea of a discovery, even if it actually isn't one. Among many other Sherlock Holmes adventures, searching for art and music is what keeps me going. High Five!

At the moment I have quite a bit of free time on my hands. A few different jobs here and there, biking around the city a lot, coffee with friends six times a day. You get the idea. However, I needed something else to fill up my days a bit. Then I ran into the middle of Nowhere. Here you can follow workshops and master classes, talent development projects, concerts and festivals. So I signed up for the workshop Performing Words.

In five classes I’m going to be drilled and trained. Through writing sessions I will attempt to find some kind of talent, learn how to turn my work into a performance and blow away my audience. But there’s a lot more on offer. Since 2003 the people behind Nowhere have been organizing all kinds of workshops. By reeling in professionals from the real world to do the job, the participants know they’re in for a treat.

Nowhere thrives on emerging in extraordinary forms in unusual places, making it always Now Here.

Three times a year they host different workshop sessions. They try to offer a varied and unique palette, something you won’t quickly find anywhere else. There is everything from breakdancing to fashion, documentary making to DJ’ing and yoga to photography. If you have some good ideas of your own, there are even possibilities to set-up your own workshop. As Nowhere says themselves: “Nowhere thrives on emerging in extraordinary forms in unusual places, making it always Now Here.”
