About the author
The name's Ciaran, a 27-year-old guy who loves the idea of a discovery, even if it actually isn't one. Among many other Sherlock Holmes adventures, searching for art and music is what keeps me going. High Five!

By now most of our readers probably know Amsterdam Roest. They’ve been introducing some really good things over the summer and added some nice new elements to the Amsterdam scene. This month at Roest is no exception and they’re not letting it pass by without being noticed: Sunday September 25th Amsterdam Roest is bringing you Het Alternatief.

The plans for this day started out as a birthday joke and have gotten a bit out of hand. Roest is joining forces with Cassette Collectief, an Amsterdam based cultural collective. Their work is all built up out of artful and musical talents. Together they’re bringing us a fully packed programme to fill your lazy Sunday. Think laser games, poetry by Geheimschrijvers, a flea market including some designer clothing by Tegendraads and some interactive projects by Live Build. Don’t forget to sneak a peek at the photography expo where you can admire the work of Overdose’s own Tamar and Rutger!

But what would a day like this be without the necessary beats? Names like Brent Roozendaal, Bert de Rooij, Olff, Simon Weiss and Lustige Lola will take care of you, don’t worry. Now it’s fingers crossed for nice weather. And before I forget; the whole thing is free. Need I say more?
