Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: Midnight Freaks invites Âme (innervisions) @ AIR

Yes, yes! Can’t see enough of them Innervisions artists nowadays, dominating the sounds of the contemporary underground music. This Friday our freaks of the midnights invite one of the key players of the Innervision sound: Âme, nice! Next to him we’re provided with BPMs by Aron Friedman & Brent Roozendaal, resident Limon and Ferro amongst others.

Friday: Colors @ Trouw

And yes, after having to miss them for a month, Trouw opens its door again this weekend, bam! This time around with the Colors crew. For you bass music lovers its a proper start of the new clubbing season with none other than Kode9 and Ikonika supported by Sakka and Lowlands hero Cinnaman. Can you feel the floor vibrating? I can. Go make Trouw dirty again please.

Saturday: Hoog Water: Part II @ Pier 14 (A’dam C.S.) Markermeer

If you can’t let go of the summer vibe, maybe this boat party will please you: the second edition of Hoog Water. Another trip to the almighty Markermeer from the pier next to Central Station, with food, drinks, Joey Daniel, Sax on Rhythm live (with sax), Prunk, Ceno & Symphonics live (with violin) and Ici Sans Merci amongst others. Get an impression of the previous party here. Nice huh?

Saturday: Trouw & Friends @ Trouw

And finally, the second night of Trouw’s opening weekend, which brings us none other than electronic music superstar Michael Mayer and Trouw label crew 360 Soundsystem. For those of you who don’t know, Michael Mayer is remixer, DJ, producer and one of Germany’s Kompakt label representatives. But wait there’s more to this, San Proper and Tom Trago are running a new event in De Verdieping called Fountain of Youth filled with dirty dance music., but more about this one later today. Put on one of those white round low-cut shirts!
