Ever heard of the Prix the Rome? If you’re studying something that has to do with culture (like me) you probably have. It used to be a scholarship which granted the student three years of studying in Rome. Now it’s ‘just’ a moneyprize, but a very prestigous one at that. It originated in France in 1663 and was introduced in the Netherlands by Lodewijk Napoleon in 1807. As I said, the Prix the Rome is still being held, and you can view the exposition right here, in Amsterdam.
But it gets better! You can now join an exclusive Overdose.am tour! (I know this sounds like TellSell, but I always sound like that when I’m excited.) The student who gives the tour, knows a lot about it and will also ask you the question who you think should win. Unfortunately, the winner has already been chosen, but if you don’t agree, you immediately have a subject for a conversation on the way home. This is actually a perfect location to bring a date. So what are you waiting for? You can apply (it’s free!) by dropping your name here. Spaces are limited, so be quick! Can’t make the tour? The exposition is here for two more weeks, so check it out!
When: 21st of june, at five o’clock in the afternoon.
Where: SMART Project space at the Arie Biemondstraat 111.
