As if the weather gods themselves were tired of the rain, the sun finally came trough for the first time during fashion week. With two outdoor shows planned, the timing couldn’t have been any better. The sunset, music, catwalk on water and dreamy dresses, made up for a magical atmosphere at the Sage and Ivy show.
Inspired by the elusive beauty and flexibility of water, Alexia van Engelen showed her fourth Sage and Ivy collection named ‘Hemisphere’, a reflection of two types of female beauty: Greek goddesses and style icons of the 70’s. While the sun shined on our faces, the models stepped on the catwalk, making their dresses and suits become one with the water. The see trough materials worked extremely well in this setting, and the collection gave me goosebumps all over. What a breathtaking show!
