To be honest, finding the perfect pair of jeans, including the right washing and fit, is a difficult task for a curvy woman like me. But that doesn’t mean I stopped searching for ‘the one’. So when Levi’s, with their head quarters in Amsterdam, invited Anna and I for a personal fitting session, I held my breath. Was it finally time for the deep blue skinny model to claim his throne in my closet?

Curve ID

Last year, Levi’s did a study on body types, concluding that women can be divided into three categories of curves: slight, demi and bold. According to Levi’s it’s not about size, but about shape and there’s a right fit for everyone. The introduction of Levi’s curve ID led to a big revolution in the jeans industry. After hearing all this, I was more than curious to find out what my curve ID was.

The end of a long quest

After finding my natural waist, they started to measure my hips and thighs. It took the lady less then five minutes to determine my curve ID and find me the perfect pair of jeans. And when I looked in the mirror, my heart skipped a beat. There it was: the king claiming for his throne. The first pair of jeans ever that suited me like a second skin and were beautiful at the same time. I felt like I could stop searching for ‘the one’ and I could even expand my collection, since they’ve got different shades, models and washings in the curve ID section.

If you want to find out what kind of Curve ID you are, you can make an appointment in one of the stores or take the test at home. To give you an impression, take a look at the photos below about a successful end of a long denim quest.
