Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: Planet E 20 – 1 YEAR AIR @ AIR (2×2 Giveaway)

On april 29th, AIR celebrates its first year of existence. For the occasion they brought along Detroit superstars as Carl Craig and Moodyman supported by local heroes as Dimitri Kneppers and Freddy Spool to name some. Their label Planet E also has something to celebrate; it’s 20th year of existence! Isn’t this all one big orgy of celebrations? Yes, this ain’t just an ordinary Queen’s Night event, this is quality. Join the party, comment on Facebook and you can win one of our 2×2 giveaway tickets!

Friday: Electric Deluxe Queen’s Night Edition @ Melkweg

Collabs aka Speedy J & Chris Liebing (7 hour set) in the main room, Simian Mobile Disco (dj set) and Marcel Fengler amoungst others in the small room. Three things: Amsterdam, Berlin, London in the house. Great setting for a Queen’s Night.

Saturday: Hannekes Kroon @ Hannekes Boom

The only party that counts during the day; hosted by Overdose.am and Plak. Expect a 360 degree view from the rooftop terrace reveals everything from the ruins of Club 11, the historic Prins Hendrikkade, a pirate boat (arr!!), the NEMO and Scheepvaart museums, a navy base and the railroad tracks; it doesn’t get much more Amsterdam than this. We’ll turn the site into a festivalesque extravaganza with artwork and props, thus creating a fairytale decor. Needless to say, tasty fresh food and cold drinks are waiting for you; expect freshly made paella, Saté Ajam, hamburgers and hot dogs, and fairly priced beer (€2,20) to wash it all down with.

Saturday Night: STRAF_WERK Apenkooi Qday After @ Sugar Factory

Apenkooi, unlike their electro-orientated events their Queen’s Day afterparty brings soulful deephouse music with Till von Sein, HOMEWORK and Freddy Spool to name some. Leidseplein, local heroes, intimate venue, can’t really miss.

Saturday Night: Bla Bla Queensdaynight invites Mauro Picotto and Bla Bla All Stars @ Studio 80

Bla Bla shows us what they stand for with their Queen’s Day afterparty with Daniel Sanchez, Mulder, Bas Amro, etc. and international superstar Mauro Picotto, plus a mysterious guest. Who could it be, there are DJ giants all over the place this weekend.

Saturday Night: VOLTT Koninginnedag 2011 @ Paradiso

Headlining with Polder, Anthony Collins, Barem, Bart Skills and with a small area hosted by Bar27 with Alex Celler, Jason Shae & Pete Bandit and Olivier Weiter Paradiso a serious competitor for Saturday’s afterparties. Don’t forget the basement though, Bob Nagel, Maarten Bloem + friends will be taking over the turntables there.

Saturday Night: We are Connected @ Pure Liner

Lastly, I’ve you’ve gotten used to the Amsterdam waters during these days this might just be the party for you. With a limited amount of tickets (600) techno heroes Warren Fellow, Steve Rachmad, Melon, 360, Unders and Michel Steinbach will throw a quasi-intimate boat rave.
