Whether you went out last weekend to check out an uber geeky beat magician or a depressingly awesome indie rock band, we all know there’s always some serious musical talents rocking around the Dam. You might not recognize them all yet, but don’t worry, you will soon. In this series of interviews we talk to remarkable artists about their music and their inspirations.
Simon Weiss
Simon Weiss is an Amsterdam based DJ & producer and is a friend of Overdose.am. He’s been active as a musician for the past ten years and was recently adopted by Jorn Liefdeshuis’ SQUZ agency. By now, Weiss has created a diverse and familiar sound mixing instrument-based music with contemporary electronics, released tracks all over the world and co-initiated his own series of events under the name ‘Cassette Collectief‘.
On March 5th he played a live-set for a rave called Next Monday’s Hangover. Overdose.am was there to have a chat with this remarkable jazz-influenced producer. Have a listen to his latest productions beneath.
