I realize I’m providing you with yet another “12 pictures” series, but come on: with collections as good as the ones coming out, I just can’t help myself. I have been a huge Acne fan for years, so I was beyond excited to be able to see the new collection at the headquarters in Amsterdam last Wednesday. And let me assure you that it is good my friends, very good indeed.
Welcoming Color and next level shoes
Although Acne usually sticks to the use of leather and black, they gave into the color-blocking trend this season by incorporating earthier tones pieces inspired by the fifties. The collections presented were full of volume and I find the use of material sublime. Lambs leather, pony skin and velour make for amazing variations on classic pieces, such as a sleeveless trench or the perfect flair trousers with an open snit down the legs.
And last but not least: the shoes are on another level. Although some of the prices are a bit extreme (1640 euro for the red beauties you can see below is a bit out of most people’s price range) the shape, cut and use of material of the footwear is beyond creative. Acne isn’t afraid of having fun with fashion and that is why the brand can just do no wrong in my eyes. Enjoy a small preview of the collection below and start saving!
