About the author
Sabrina (who is old as fuck) has more energy than a Duracell bunny, and uses it to dance in the newest clubs, eat too much junk food, play all the videogames, examine apps and shop - even though she has more than enough clothes. Sorry Earth.

There is only one word to describe the new collection by Individuals: wow. It is dark and mysterious, but oh so sexy. The collection is named after the French word for orgasm: ‘Le Petit Mort’, because they wanted to bring across a feeling of completely letting go, that rush of adrenaline when everything goes black.. After seeing the red laced-up boots that went far over the knees and a knitted dress that uncovered a lot of skin, they definitely had my heart racing with excitement.

The world of Individuals is one of leather, glitters, ‘sweaty’ models, and knitted goodies. The make-up was a transparent wet-look, with a lot a black glitters around the eyes. The hair was pulled back with gel and very feminine curls underneath. The clothing was a mixture of classy dresses with an edge and sexy ensembles. Some outfits, like the knitted wine red sweater-dress could be be categorized as ‘Man Men’ in the year 2011, while some (the harness bra) were SM-chic. The Individuals woman definitely isn’t a wallflower, but a feminine and confident.

Individuals

Individuals is made by students from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute with students from design, branding and management taking care of the entire show. This year they even made a line of shirts which can be bought at their Statement Store on Spui. Although these shirts where almost invisible between al the leather and flesh (it seems to be a trademark of Individuals to show some breasts), we got a closer look at them backstage, and also on the boots which took half an hour (!!) to get on and take off. The model had to be cut out of them by two different people. Nevertheless, I still think they would be a lovely addition to my closet.

Though they have been giving some harsh critiques in the past, with this collection Individuals is back on track. It may just be their best one in years!
