Ok guys, Amsterdam International Fashion Week A/W 2011 is right around the corner and there are always parties for you to celebrate and relax during this week. They provide a much needed time to just enjoy yourself a bit between the hectic fashion shows and a time to meet those awesome Amsterdam fashion people while enjoying lovely music and tasty cocktails. Well, hereby I give you a guide for which parties to go to during the fashion week and I am also giving away tickets to a few lucky winners for some of the parties.
Tattoo Tattoo
Date: January 28th, 22.00 – 04.00
Location: Jimmy Woo

No tattoo = no entrance!
Following the success of previous parties as Moustache Moustache, Lunettes Lunettes and most recently, Chapeau Chapeau, Hadimassa is hosting another fashion week party. Once again it will be placed in one of Amsterdam’s most fashionable clubs, the Jimmy Woo, and this time the theme will be focused on tattoos. You need a tattoo to get in and at this party you have the chance of getting yourself a new tattoo by the tattoo expert Morrison Schiffmacher.

Derek’s

Fashion show: 00.30
This party is hosted by my good friend Derek Tigges, who is actually going to showcase the first collection of his brand, Derek’s. Derek’s is a new Amsterdam based menswear clothing line. The party is going to take place at Panama on the 28th of January with music by Sister Bliss of Faithless fame, Marcella, Tygo Gernandt and friends. The fashion show itself starts around 00.30. Good pick to just chill out and enjoy the music while looking at new menswear collections.

Valtifashion

Valtifest, Meubel Stukken and MTV presents Valtifashion: Amsterdam International Fashion Week Closing Party. Joost van Bellen, fashion show DJ specialist and Amsterdam’s disco dinosaur will perform at this party alongside the likes of Nobody Beats the Drum, Larry Tee (known for hits with Lady Gaga), Teenage Lady Killers and more. But what is a fashion week party without a show? Nothing. ‘Flashion! Blinded by your own Beauty’ is a show by Les Avant Nu and is a reflection on current-day fashion. The ‘Break a Leg’ Bridal Show is a insane ode to Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood and Jean-Paul Gaultier by Patrick ‘No Limits’ Moonen.
