Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: Techno op blote voeten @ Studio /K

“Amsterdam’s monthly most funky foot friendly techno party”. Expect lots of foot massages, foot reading and plastic cups. If you’re into hippies, being zen or feet in general (I know there are lots of you out there) this might just be the party for you.

Saturday: Voidd – Wildlife Legends @ Studio 80

VOIDD’s first big party of the year, offering a live performance by German artists Einmusic and Haito Göpfrich. With local hero’s Oliver Weiter, Moritz and Rus will do the warming-up, it sounds like a decent way to kick off the new clubbing year.

Saturday: 360 & Friends @ Trouw

On the other side of town Trouw residents 360 (Patrice Bäumel & Nuno dos Santos) invited a group of their most talented artist friends to kick off the year in style, just as they did last year. This time, they did not compromise in quality, Arjuna Schiks will do the live thing accompanied by sets from friends from all over town such as Monokreck, Taras, Mirella Kroes, Miss Melera, Lin, Freek Fabricius, Thomas Dulle and Jeff Moore.

Saturday: Ome Ko @ Sugarfactory

Lastly, Ome Ko’s first party of the year will take place at Leidseplein’s Sugarfactory. Featuring Freddy Spool, Sandeman, Lustige Lola & Weltschmerz and Tron (yes, just like the Disney Daft Punk movie). Musical, creative, eclectic, visual & cheap. Can’t miss.
