Rob is 28 (but needs his beard to actually look like it), loves music, adventures and spontaneous people. His scribblings are about these things too, so if you share his interests, stay tuned!

We can all keep running to big festivals like Lowlands or even London Calling, always stressing to get tickets on time, spending way too much money, or we can take a closer look at what is right under our noses. De Brakke Grond’s intimate indie/folk festival Sonic Soirée is an excellent example of a cheap and local alternative. The 2nd edition is coming up (Jan 6th), featuring only Dutch and Belgian acts such as Flemish violist/singer Liesa van der Aa, Amsterdam’s own folk singer Case Mayfield and Belgian indie rockers Tommigun. Take a gamble people, discover something new!
