I love nosing through my grandmother’s closet and attic; authentic vintage clothing, old-fashioned lamps, squeaky chairs and the occasional moth ball. Unfortunately, her closet and attic are not inexhaustible and I have almost reached the backside. To solve this problem, I occasionally visit the flea market in the IJ-hallen at the NDSM wharf. This way, I can still quench my small price vintage shopping thirst.
Every second Saturday and Sunday of the month the IJ-hallen, a large industrial hall, is turned into a Valhalla for bargain-hunters with approximately 500 stands selling a wide spectrum of different vintage goods. This Saturday I’m opening the hunt for a pair of boots, an old-fashioned lamp and/or a leather purse! (yes, I am a shop-addict) What vintage item are you craving for?
