Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: DISCO3000 with Theo Parrish @ Paradiso

“Nowadays, honesty is at an all time low, everything is fabricated, everything is more style over substance, everything is more look over feel.” The famous words of Detroit based DJ Theo Parrish talking about the way way he incorporates non-fabricated sounds of the streets into his music. I recently got to see this iconic DJ/producer live in Manchester, and although I wasn’t blown away by his funky beats, I can’t help but encourage his traditional approach towards producing modern music. Watch the video above and go see.

Friday: Welcome to the family (Time Warp warm-up) @ Studio 80

No tickets for Time Warp this Saturday? No worries, The We Are E team organized a special Time Warp warm-up at the 80 this Friday with a list of local heroes (Rauwkost, Joey Daniel, Unders, etc.) and special (hot) guests such as Johanna Mercker. Should go knee deep.

Still frustrated with the fact Time Warp, Shoeless, or even for Holy Fuck sold out this weekend?
Try these ones:

Saturday: Coma & Dettmann @ Trouw

Remember ADE a month ago? Remember Trouw somehow turning into a zoo the last two nights? This had a lot to do with Marcel Dettmann‘s performance during the last hours of the early morning that weekend. So if you feel like reminiscing you know where you should be this Saturday. Special guest: Coma (live).

Sunday: Static “Sunday Afternoon Special” @ Westerunie

Sleep is for the weak! At 4 pm this Sunday another 12 hours of Romanian beats should generate the ultimate Sinterklaas hang-over for Monday. For this occasion Arpiar Soundsystem (aka Raresh, Petre Inspirescu & Rhadoo) will play an 8-hour set (8 HOURS!). These guys have become DJ A-listers in no time. Also, host Bart Skils will be showing his.. well, skills. Expect Peternoten and the Sint himself.

Sharing is caring!
