Rob is 28 (but needs his beard to actually look like it), loves music, adventures and spontaneous people. His scribblings are about these things too, so if you share his interests, stay tuned!

In the weekend of November 26 and 27, the colourful people of Amsterdam are getting spoiled with a new two day multidisciplinary festival: Het Kabinet. During the daytime, Studio/K will be showing theatre and films of which one is the documentary film Rip: A Remix Manifesto which I myself found very inspiring. But the real action will happen at night time, with a line-up of international allure. Both nights feature electronic music, with Friday night having a dub inspired theme and Saturday night looking like a minimal techno non-stopper. Fans will surely already be acquainted with the likes of Joy Orbison and Mathew Jonson.

I’ve added some media for you to get a taste of the festivals intended vibe. Click on the flyer on the right to enlarge it, listen to two mixes from the festivals organizers filled exclusively with music from artists and DJ’s performing and view trailers of the films being shown. Two day passe-partouts are already sold out so hurry with your tickets!
