About the author
Ridz, advertises, produces indie/electronic music, performs throughout the Netherlands but ultimately always ends up at an Amsterdam based ensemble... then he blogs about all these things.

By 2010 you either need to be blind or have lived in a cave not to have noticed the massive rise of controversial graffiti and street art. Although it is mainly Banksy who has reached the mainstream crowds with his approach, there are many others who have delicately branded themselves around Amsterdam. If you’re into this phenomenon, this weekends Fuzi World opening might just be very adequate for you.

Fuzi (UV TPK) is a French artist whose trademark “ignorant style” embodies a naive, child-like approach. His work depicts violence, vandalism and sex which is a portrayal of his youth and influences. Throughout the 90’s, he was an active graffiti artist and was a founding member of the infamous UV TPK crew, well known in Paris for their graffiti on the streets, trains and subways. The Fuzi Show will feature paintings, drawings and photography.

Join Kind Regards and Fuzi for a drink at the opening on Saturday October 30th between 5 and 9 pm at the Blaq Jacket Gallery (Heintje Hoekssteeg 8, 1012 GR in Amsterdam). At the opening, Fuzi will also be taking appointments for tattoos whilst he is in Amsterdam. Fuzi World will be open untill November 13th!
