We are Tamar & Rutger, 24 and 26 years old! We love to integrate photography in every aspect of our lives. Every day we wake up with new and creative ideas to make this happen! Want to know more about us send an email to rutger@overdose.am or tamar@overdose.am!

Over one-hundred photographers from the Dutch photo agency Hollandse Hoogte, portrayed 25 hours in the life of a 25-year-old. The result: a beautiful photography exhibition that shows an interesting insight into 25-year-old minds, and into the diversity of styles in photography. Last Friday, the opening of this exhibition, held on the twenty-five year anniversary of Hollandse Hoogte –a sold out event- took place at Pakhuis de Zwijger.

That Friday, after our weekly photography class, we jumped on our bikes, kicked our pedals and sprinted to this event to join photography workshops, presentations, documentaries and of course to check out the exhibition. We didn’t know what to expect but after a short ‘walk around’ it became clear… It was an incubator for photography lovers with very inspiring people.

After various presentations it was time to visit the exhibition. All the work distributed throughout the entire building impressed us as it showed us that there are so many different ways to document a 25 year-old. People’s lives are so diverse at this age: you can be a mother, a student, a workaholic or when everything goes wrong, you could die.

Therefore, an important message from Roger Cremers, one of Hollandse Hoogte’s photographers, was:

Enjoy your life, because you live

In summary, a exhibition well worth visiting! 25-years Hollandse Hoogte will be in Pakhuis de Zwijger until October 31th.

Photographer tip: Petterik Wiggers. After seeing his presentation during this day, we were very impressed! This Dutch guy lives in Ethiopia, drives around Africa in a jeep without a driver’s license and provides us with a view of the world that is in no way comparable to the Netherlands. He followed a 25-year-old African girl for Hollandse Hoogte and is planning to organize his own exhibition too, so stay tuned!
