Rob is 27 (but needs his beard to actually look like it), loves music, adventures and spontaneous people. His scribblings are about these things too, so if you share his interests, stay tuned!

I know I am not the only one who misses Amsterdam Acoustics, now that the project has been put on hold indefinitely while its makers focus on film projects. I’ve got something new for you though! Last week, I met Arno Inen from MixTup at their headquarters in the Duintjer CS building. This former bank was re-designated into a hub for young creative companies but not much work has been done on the interior lay-out. Because of this, Arno ended up with a huge vault in the middle of his office, including extra thick walls and a massive metal door. Now you could seat your interns here, but I prefer what MixTup did with it..

Let me introduce you to: ‘The Vault sessions’. A monthly music session by MixTup, where they invite one band or artist they support to their vault and film them during an acoustic session. The best thing about this concept? Not the unique setting like one would suspect, but the great selection MixTup makes. Just listen to a few of the videos in this post and you will understand what I mean. From now on, I will update you guys when a new session comes online. More previous Vault Sessions can be found here. And oh yeah, I embedded an Amsterdam Acoustics video at the bottom of this post, for old times’ sake.
