On October 17th, Strawberry Earth presents Strawberry Earth Wonderland: an event that combines the worlds of fashion, art and music in an eco and fair way. Sounds a bit dull, maybe? Reminds you of being hassled on the street by charities? Or maybe of hippies who don’t wash themselves as a protest for peace? Think again, because this is next-level world improvement. Imagine runway fashion shows, live music and young creatives in club Trouw coming together and partying. Improving the world has never been this easy!

At Strawberry Earth Wonderland the focus will be on fashion, with fashion labels who work towards a better world and not just profit exhibiting themselves and looking to meet you. For example, Charlie + Mary and Studio Jux, who we recently interviewed, will show an ´Urban Fairytale` themed show on the runway, there will be a bootcamp to learn how to detox your cosmetics and a Fashion Blogging Camp where (fashion) bloggers, including Overdose.am friends Andy Torres and Ernst-Jan Pfauth, will tell you about their world, explain their influence and success, and help you get started in your own fashion blogging carreers. Add music from Aardvarck, The Amplifetes and Style of Eye and you have a party on your hands.

Films about our planet at Strawberry Earth Film Festival
Strawberry Earth is back with their annual film festival, including loads of side-events and awesome after parties. For those unfamiliar with Strawberry Earth, they are a blog about 'sustainable living, eco friendly design and a good laugh'. This is certainly not their first offline event though; next to a previous film festival they've hosted a fashion show and parties, all dedicated to their sustainable goals. The film festival features a selection of the best new films and documentaries about our planet, and don't think that these are dull or lecturing. Think documentaries about Brazil's trash dumps and abandoned Detroit. (..more)
1000 Drawings combines art, music and fashion for a better world
The people behind 1000 Drawings Amsterdam asked me to help promote their event, and if there was ever any event that matched with our goals and content it would be theirs. Next week on Thursday, make sure you are in club Trouw to support this great charity and enjoy a good evening. They have music, they have a fashion show and of course, a 1000 drawings.
