Rob is 28 (but needs his beard to actually look like it), loves music, adventures and spontaneous people. His scribblings are about these things too, so if you share his interests, stay tuned!

Any Amsterdam local who likes ‘indie’ pop and rock music already knows the bi-annual festival London Calling, so I won’t bore you all with a long introduction. The festival which once upon a time brought bands like Blur, Bloc Party and The Libertines to Amsterdam before they made it big, is back on 12+13 November. Just have a look at their track record and see for yourself that the programmers are in touch with all the trends. Passe-partouts are sold-out already but there are still day tickets. My advice? Go for day two with psychedelic rockers Tame Impala and lo-fi noise-rocker Wavves among others.

Day1: North Atlantic Oscillation, Villagers, Ratatat, The Futureheads, We Are Scientists, Frankie & The Heartstrings, Is Tropical
Day2: Tame Impala, Wavves, Beach Fossils, Warpaint, Lulu & the Lampshades, The Rumour Said Fire, Good Shoes, Yuck, Race Horses, Factory Floor

Bands in bold are ones I enjoy. Bands not in bold I probably just still need to discover. More good music? Check out our Spotify playlist. Below are two multi song videos from Tame Impala and Wavves for you to check out:
