About the author
Mark Visbeek is a designer, musician, superstar, and loves illeism. Always looking to create beautiful things, I'm often distracted by the amazing stuff happening around me. My most important weapons are limitless amounts of love and a faux-French accent.

Every big city has some random photography museum, and they’re pretty much always stowed away behind the pompous and extravagant buildings that house museums for what most of the visitors in the never-ending queues consider ‘real’ art. The difference with Amsterdam’s Foam_Fotografiemuseum is that it is not just a random photography museum; it is a hidden gem along the city’s canals.

Regular readers of Overdose already know that I’m a sucker for Foam. I recently wrote about their current Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin exhibition, and how its billboard posters hijacked my defenceless eyes. Today however, my love for Foam got even bigger. Here’s why:

I just found out that they stretched their opening hours, and are now opened till 9 pm every Thursday and Friday. That really makes it the perfect spot to go to for a quick resuscitation of the aesthetic parts of your brain before heading into town and bashing it up again with some excessive partying.

For those of you who do not feel as guilty about some mindless binge drinking, let me convince you with the 2×2 tickets we are giving away. All you have to do is become a fan of our Facebook page, and then either leave a comment there or send an email to giveaway@overdose.am.

Even if you don’t turn out to be one of the lucky winners, you can still visit one of the free tours they offer every Thursday evening. There really is no excuse not to go.
