About the author
A dreamer and hopeless romantic, in love with words and fashion. Want to know more or share something? Email me at anna@overdose.am!

You may know by now that I love introducing new up and coming young designers to you guys. Why? Because they are fearless, inspirational little geniuses that amaze me every single time I see their work. They make fashion so much more fun.

I am a sucker for crazy shapes and although I never wear much colour myself, seeing the collection of Femke Agema made me reconsider my black wardrobe. Her collections so far are named Totem, Opus and Hideout and all of them are inspired by daily life.

Femke likes to play. For her ‘Totem’ project she started by making textile installations inspired on totem poles. Femke finds general inspiration for her collections in the cropped and edited images that people have of each other because of the social networking sites and the shift this has led to in ‘real’ human relationships. Whoever said that fashion is meaningless can now sit down.

Femke will be showing her Totem collection at Moooi Gallery and you still have until the 28th of August to see for yourself why I am so enthusiastic about this young lady. It’s simply too good to pass up. I also got a chance to see the Totem collection at the showroom so check out the gallery below to get a sneak peek. Happy Sunday!
