While I will be dancing, drinking and enjoying the best music until the early morning at Lowlands Festival on the 21st of August, my friends whom are not in possession of a precious Lowlands ticket will still be dancing, drinking and swimming at the TEEST House Braderie in Amsterdam. The lads and ladies of PLAK are organizing this mini-festival at the brand new, perfectly located Club VLLA. I have visited the parties of PLAK a number of times in the past, and it was not only tantalizing for my eardrums with the best minimal, techno and electro tunes, but the entire ambiance was thrilling including the ‘PLAK’ of all the stickers and tape that got stuck onto everyone’s bodies. Below you find some videos from their recent boat party ‘Varen & Raven’, to give you an idea of the atmosphere to expect.
However, even without all the stickers and tape, the TEEST House Braderie is going to be a great summer party with good food (such as a burger bar), stimulating music, a private swimming pool, a cocktail bar, funky hairdressers and a vintage clothing market. You might just forget about not being at Lowlands. More surprises are to be revealed during the festival itself!
‘TEEST’ starts on the 21st of August at 2 p.m. and will continue until 6 a.m. in the morning! Behind the turntables names such as ONNO, Jaime Frias, Camiel Daamen, Kleine Raver, KlapSandwich, Freddie Lucas, Malawi, Jesse Ten and Kerk can be found. The new Club VLLA is located here. This club is not just an ordinary club by the way, it’s a combination between a restaurant, a club and a performance stage. Usual clubs are for dancing; this club claims it’s only aiming for its audience to go wild! Check this out for an impression of the location.
So to conclude and convince you: if you’re not going to Lowlands, my friends will see you at TEEST! YEW!
